At the Online News Association’s most recent Board of Directors meeting, Jim Brady was re-elected President of the organization. Now serving in his fourth term with ONA, Brady had previously occupied the positions of Treasurer and Vice President. ONA is a professional organization for digital journalists that hosts an annual conference and oversees the Online Journalism Awards.
Another DFM staff member also joined ONA’s leadership ranks this year. Mandy Jenkins, interactives editor for Project Thunderdome, won a seat on the Board of Directors in the election this past fall.
“It says a lot about Digital First Media that we’re the only organization to have more than one person on the board, and I’m very proud that Mandy joined me this year,” said Brady. “I look forward to seeing how ONA grows over the next year and what lessons DFM can take away from it.”
Congratulations to Jim and Mandy!
